The property is ten minutes by car from Teresópolis, and less than five miles from the Teresópolis Golf Club.
Climate - The combination of tropical latitude (Rio lies just inside the Tropic of Capricorn) and altitude means that the climate is mild and constant. Summers are warm and mild, with mean temperatures between 68 and 78 degrees Fahrenheit, while winters are cool and mild, with average temperatures ranging between 50 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
The mountain rainforest grows on the "Serra do Mar" - the Mountains of the Sea - and the proximity to the South Atlantic means that there is no "dry" or "rainy" season in the strict sense applicable to the monsoons of Southeast Asia. In addition to golf, the Teresópolis Golf Club offers, tennis, swimming and equestrian facilities.
